The Bible in Magazine Form: Still Half the Size of Vogue's Fall Issue

Taking the marketing concept of Revolve and Refuel one step further, Bible Illuminated is a 286-page glossy magazine version of the New Testament.

Some sample images:
I'd very much like to know what Bible verse the polar bear is illustrating.

wow - and they used the exact same cover as Stephenie Meyer's "The Host" - hoping to get some Twilight Tweens?

I happen to have a copy of this Bible. I'm very much in the "Don't knock it 'til you try it" camp! (And by "try it," I mean "stop by Borders and flip through it.") This might seem like God spam at first glance, I'll give you that, but it's actually pretty poignant!

As far as the polar bear pic? It goes with a passage from Romans: "For it was by hope that we were saved; but if we see what we hope for, then it is not really hope. For who of us hopes for something we see?" (No doubt a comment on the visibility of the ice caps' increasing INvisibility!)

And as far as The Host? Don't quote me on it, but I believe the Bible Illuminated came out in Europe last year. But who knows how long either camp may've had the cover designs in mind.
